Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of the Information and Learning Centre was held on 18th of October 2018 at the Faculty of Science premises.

The Main Library organized a Human Library for its users on 10th of October 2018. Experts from different fields shared their knowledge and experience with users.

“වෙසතුරුදා සන්නය පිළිබඳ විමර්ශනයක්” book written by Mrs. H.I.S.M. Adhikari, Senior Assistant Librarian, was launched on 08th of October 2018 at the M.B. Ariyapala Auditorium, Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo.

A training session on using Oxford Reference Law collection was conducted by Ms. Sumita Sen of Oxford University Press. It was held on 23rd of July 2018, at the Main library Auditorium, University of Colombo.

A training session on Alice for Windows was held on 20th of July, 2018 at the Main Library Auditorium, for the Library staff of Sri Palee Campus. It was conducted by the Academic Staff of the Main Library, University of Colombo.

The opening ceremony of Resource Centre for the Visually Impaired was held on 23rd February 2018 at the Main Library premises.

The Library and the Faculty of Arts jointly organized a Human Library for the newcomers on 22nd of February 2018 at the Main Library, University of Colombo. Experts from different fields shared their knowledge and experience with students.

There was a presentation of prizes for the winners of the raffle draw done to enhance and promote e-resource usage of undergraduates at the Main Library University of Colombo on 18.08.2017 .  

National Conference of the University Librarians Association of Sri Lanka was held on 1st June 2017, at the Library Auditorium, University of Colombo. For the first time during the history of ULA, the Conference was held with the collaboration of university Librarians and academics of other disciplines to strengthen the bondage of faculty- library collaboration.
