Library Tour for NILIS Students

The National Institute of Library and Information Science (NILIS) of the University of Colombo arranged a Library Tour for the students of Diploma in School Librarianship (DSL), Diploma in Library and Information Management (DLIM) and Advanced Certificate in Librarianship (ACL) on 27th May 2023. Students were taken to the Main Library and then to the Science Library of the Faculty of Science. Program Coordinators Mrs. Samanlatha Adhikari (Senior Assistant Librarian) and Mr. T. Ramanan (Senior Assistant Librarian) guided and explained about library functions and services to the students. About 40 students from both Sinhala and Tamil Medium enjoyed the tour and gained knowledge about practical library operations and new technologies implemented in those libraries.
