Training on Current Trends of Libraries: An Outreach Programme

On March 25th and 26th, 2024, the Library of the University of Colombo held a special training on “Current Trends of Libraries.” This training was an outreach activity conducted by the Library, aimed at the library staff of the Bank of Ceylon. The training familiarized the librarians with the current trends in the library profession, the latest technologies, and R&D activities conducted by the Library of the University of Colombo.

The BoC librarians had the opportunity to visit the Science Library and experience the sophisticated technologies available on the premises. The event was facilitated by Senior Assistant Librarians Ms. H.M.D.S.D. Somaratna, Ms. P.K.S. Manatunga, Ms. M.A.L. Silva, and Dr. C. J. Wijesundara, who served as resource persons.
