Arts Faculty Orientation and the Human Library

The Library Orientation Programme for the new intake (2022) of undergraduates enrolled in the Faculty of Arts was held on 8th June 2023. The program was held at the Main Library building and the Acting Librarian Mrs Sajeewanie Somaratna, and the Library staff cordially welcomed the new students. Senior Assistant Librarian/Arts and Reader Services Mrs. Samanlatha Menike Adhikari coordinated the event with the Faculty, and the students were given instructions to use the library resources by providing demonstrations on the Online Catalogue, E-Resources, and all other library services.

As part of the orientation, a Human Library event was conducted on the same day parallel to the Faculty of Arts orientation programme. The Heads of the Departments, the Acting Librarian, and the Senior Academics of the Faculty of Arts and the Library participated in the event as the Human Books.
