Intensive Library Training Programme Conducted at the University of Colombo, Main Library
An intensive library training programme for the Development Officers of the District Secretariat Office, Colombo, was successfully conducted at the Main Library, University of Colombo, on 08th October 2025.
The one-day workshop, held at the Main Library premises, was designed to provide participants with a concise and practical training in library functions and processes. The sessions focused on key areas such as library operations, information management, and user services have offered participants practical exposure to the effective management of library resources and services.
This initiative highlights the University of Colombo Library’s ongoing commitment to capacity building and professional development in the form of outreach programmes. Participants highly appreciated the timely organisation of the training and the opportunity to learn and interact with experienced library professionals in a collaborative and engaging environment.
