MLIS Students Visit the Main Library, University of Colombo

On 30 December 2025, students of the Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) programme from the National Institute of Library and Information Sciences (NILIS), University of Colombo, visited the Main Library as part of their orientation programme. The Acting Librarian, Dr. Kalpana Manatunga, along with the library staff, warmly welcomed the group.

The visit introduced the new students to the Library’s facilities, services, and resources, while providing valuable insight into the academic library environment and professional practices. The tour was guided by Dr. Chiranthi Wijesundara, MLIS Programme Coordinator, who offered an overview of the Library’s key services and facilities.
