Vice Chancellor Visits the University Library

The Library of the University of Colombo had the honour of welcoming Professor Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo, for an official visit to the Main Library on 16th October 2025.

Professor Karunathilake was warmly welcomed by the Library staff and engaged in discussions with both academic and non-academic members. During his tour, he visited key service points, reading areas, and special collections, taking a keen interest in recent developments and ongoing modernization efforts. The Vice Chancellor commended the Library’s continuous contribution to the University’s teaching, learning, and research excellence.

The visit concluded with warm interactions and gratitude, reaffirming the Library’s role as a vibrant centre of knowledge, creativity, and collaboration at the University of Colombo.
